Allergies, Cold, Flu or Coronavirus?

We talked with board certified allergist and immunologist Dr. Ty Prince on Around the House with Dawn Steimer about Coronavirus.

He recommends proper hand washing, social distancing, and self-quarantining for people who think they’ve been exposed or have symptoms of COVID-19.

If you have a dry cough, shortness of breath and a fever above 100.4, call your primary care physician first.

“You shouldn’t go to the hospital unless you’re in respiratory distress,” says Dr. Prince.  “We don’t want the hospitals to become a breeding ground for this virus.”

At 1:52 in the recording, Dr. Prince breaks down the differences in symptoms for allergies, common cold, flu and Coronavirus.
